At Pioneer Union School District, our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally. We believe in fostering a love for learning and creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment.

Guiding Principles
The following principles guide our work:

Students will be provided programs, instruction and/or activities designed to enhance the development of positive attitudes, patience, tolerance, appreciation of different cultures and productive membership in society.

Students will be provided programs, instruction, activities and/or guidance to develop mental and moral bravery, caring attitudes toward people and education, to gain a healthy view of competition and to learn age appropriate life skills.


Goals

The Board of Trustees will biannually assess goals to maintain programmatic focus and budgetary needs.

The Board of Trustees will keep current on state/county relevant information through attending CSBA conferences, El Dorado County annual meeting of trustees and recognition dinner or other professionally sponsored conferences and seminars which address educational policy, programs and district operations. The board will attend at least one such event as a group.

Designated Board members will strive to visit district school sites monthly.

The Board of Trustees will systematically review, revise and adopt policies and administrative regulations.

The Board of Trustees will conduct an annual self-evaluation meeting/workshop to conduct self-evaluation, discuss relations, expectations, and board operation. (July - August)
Board Meeting Schedule
Meetings take place on the 2nd Thursday each month.
