Get to know Courtney...
Courtney Clendenin serves on the Pioneer Union School District Board of Trustees with a deep commitment to building strong partnerships between families, staff, and the district. She was inspired to step into this role because she cares deeply about the future of Pioneer schools and believes in strengthening the connections that support student success.
Courtney brings a dynamic background in business and community engagement. She owned and operated a delicatessen for nearly a decade and now runs a health and wellness business alongside her mother. She also helps manage her family’s farm. These hands on, entrepreneurial experiences have honed her communication skills and given her a practical, solutions oriented mindset. Her approach is shaped by years of relationship building in both business and community settings.
As a board member, Courtney’s priorities include maintaining transparency, supporting thoughtful decision-making, and ensuring that students remain at the center of every conversation. She is always ready to listen, learn, and pitch in; whether it’s at a meeting, an event, or behind the scenes.
Originally from Sacramento, Courtney and her family have had roots in the Pioneer area since 2011. They made it their permanent home in 2020, drawn by the close knit community and the district’s strong values. She is known for her ability to streamline processes and find efficient, common-sense solutions that help everyone move forward.
Courtney is also a proud Pioneer parent: her three children currently attend school in the district, in TK, 4th grade, and 6th grade. Over the years, she has supported school events and fundraisers and now serves as the Communications Chair for the Parent Music Coalition. Her ongoing involvement reflects her strong belief in public education and her desire to serve in ways that make a lasting, positive impact.
