After School Enrichment

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new After-School Enrichment Program! This program offers engaging activities designed to provide students with unique learning experiences beyond the classroom.  All classes are provided at no cost. 

​

These enrichment opportunities are provided by PUSD Staff and outside vendors who are highly trained, uniquely skilled in their areas, and have undergone fingerprinting and background checks to ensure student safety.

Matial Arts Training

Karate
Monday - Thursday
3:00 - 4:00 pm
1st - 8th Grade

​

 In our dojo, we practice a form of karate known as Kyokushin (Japanese for “The Ultimate Truth”). Some of the defining characteristics of Kyokushin include respect, honor, discipline, mental strength, and focus. Please let us join you and help you on your martial arts journey, as you learn how to train hard, get in better shape, learn how to defend yourself, and work toward mastery of your own body. Along the way, you will learn a lot about what you’re capable of, mentally and physically, and get a great workout as you do so!

Get ready to build, code, and create! In this exciting after-school program, kids dive into the world of STEM through hands-on activities in coding, LEGO engineering, and robotics. Each day includes creative challenges and team-based problem-solving that spark imagination and build real-world skills

Coding Made Fun: Learn the basics of computer programming through kid-friendly platforms like Scratch or Blockly. Develop games, animations, and interactive stories step by step.

LEGO Builders’ Lab: Use LEGO bricks to explore engineering concepts and build structures, vehicles, and simple machines.
Robotics Exploration: Bring creations to life using robotics kits like LEGO®

Education SPIKE™ or WeDo®, and discover how coding can control motion, sensors, and more.

Whether your child is a beginner or a budding engineer, this program offers a fun, supportive environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

The National Academy of Athletics will be offering "All Sorts of Sports," after school program which is a perfect place for kids to be introduced to the world of sports and an active, healthy lifestyle. This multi-sport program will include sports like basketball, soccer, baseball and flag football. Other games may include dodgeball, wiffleball, kickball, capture the flag, and ultimate Frisbee. These games teach children sport-specific skills while learning the importance of teamwork, losing and winning with dignity, and communication with friends and peers. Kids will PLAY HARD and HAVE FUN!

Cooking With Books
Tuesday 4th and 5th grades
Thursday 1st - 3rd grades

​We will provide a fun, hands-on way for children to learn valuable life skills, including literacy, math , science and social cooperation, by connecting literary themes and characters to practical culinary activities. Children will build vocabulary as they read recipes, practice sequencing and fractions, develop fine motor skills through kitchen tasks and gain self confidence as they work together to create and enjoy healthy, delicious food.

There is no bus transportation after classes end.  Parents will need to provide transportation for their student.​
