Cory Morrison serves on the Pioneer Union School District Board of Trustees as an expression of his faith in Jesus Christ. Through the encouragement of a sitting board member, Cory felt called to serve on our Board out of a deep commitment to love and serve others. He views his role on the board as an opportunity to reflect Christ through his actions in service to the community. While he acknowledges that he may not connect with everyone easily, his commitment to serve all people with sincerity remains at the core of his work.

His professional background includes extensive technical training: automotive service, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, thermography, predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic transduction. He also holds an Associate of Science degree in Behavioral Science and owns and operates a general contracting construction company.

As a board member, his goal is for the Pioneer Union School District to foster an environment that equips, encourages, and supports future generations of young men and women to make meaningful contributions to society. He is known for his honesty, dependability, and straightforward approach; he values real conversations and listens with genuine interest and care.

He has been married to his wife for 22 years. She works for the El Dorado County Office of Education and serves the Pioneer Union School District with dedication. Together, they are raising four children: three have completed their time at Pioneer schools, and one is currently attending.
